Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how FlashFeed, Inc. (“FlashFeed,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use flashfeed.io, our web application, our browser extension, and related services (the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information: your email address and password, or, if you sign in with Google, your name, email address, and profile image from your Google account.
- Profile and workspace information: brand profiles, brand descriptions and notes, social handles you add, project briefs, and settings.
- Support communications: messages you send us through in-app chat or email.
Content and inputs you submit
Images, video, audio, and documents you upload; prompts, instructions, and text you enter; and the content you generate with our AI tools. We process these to provide the Services, including by sending them to the AI providers described below.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full payment-card number. We receive limited billing information from Stripe, such as your customer identifier, subscription status, and the plan or credit pack you purchased.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and log data, such as the actions you take in the Services, credit transactions, and technical data like device and browser type, IP address, and timestamps.
- A device “fingerprint” — an identifier derived in your browser — together with your IP address, which we use to detect duplicate or fraudulent free-trial sign-ups.
- Local storage on your device, used to remember interface preferences and cache certain data. See “Cookies and local storage” below.
Information from third parties
- Google, if you sign in with Google (your basic profile as described above).
- Stripe, for billing and subscription status.
- Instagram / Meta, if you use the Instagram share-to-save feature (see Section 5).
- Publicly available advertising and social data about advertisers and brands, which we and our data providers collect from public ad libraries and social platforms to power research and brand-tracking features. This may include information about people who appear in or publish public advertising.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, operate, maintain, and secure the Services;
- generate the content you request, including by sending your inputs to AI providers;
- process payments, manage subscriptions and credits, and prevent trial abuse and fraud;
- personalize your experience and remember your settings;
- respond to support requests and send you service, security, and billing messages;
- monitor, analyze, and improve the Services and develop new features; and
- enforce our Terms, protect our rights and our users, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use the private content you upload or generate to train general-purpose AI models of our own. We may use aggregated or de-identified data, which cannot reasonably identify you, to analyze and improve the Services.
3. AI providers and how your content is processed
To generate text, images, video, audio, voiceovers, captions, and avatars, we send the relevant inputs to third-party AI providers, which may include Anthropic, Google, fal.ai, and ElevenLabs. These providers process your inputs to return Output to us and are subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We send only what is needed to perform your request.
Faces and voices in your content. Content you upload or generate may include images of faces or recordings of voices. We process this material solely to provide the features you request (for example, video generation, avatar creation, voice synthesis, or caption transcription), using the AI providers described above as processors. We do not use it to identify individuals, we do not build biometric databases, and we do not use your private uploads to train general-purpose AI models. You are responsible for obtaining any consent required from people who appear or speak in the content you upload. Media files are retained as described in “Data retention” and are deleted when you delete them or close your account.
4. How we share information
We share information only as needed, and in each case with recipients that are bound by contract to protect it and use it only on our behalf. These service providers fall into the following categories:
- Cloud hosting, storage, and content-delivery providers that run our application, database, file storage, and media delivery;
- Payment processors that handle subscriptions and purchases (you interact with these directly at checkout);
- Search providers that power the ad library;
- AI and machine-learning providers that process your inputs to generate text, images, video, audio, voiceovers, captions, and avatars;
- Advertising-data providers that supply publicly available advertising and social data for brand-research features;
- Fraud- and abuse-prevention providers that help us detect duplicate or fraudulent trial sign-ups;
- Support, messaging, and social-integration providers that power live chat and the Instagram share-to-save feature.
A current list of the specific service providers we use is available on request by emailing hello@flashfeed.io.
We also share information: to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or lawful requests; to protect the rights, property, and safety of FlashFeed, our users, and the public; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will seek to ensure the recipient honors this Policy. We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you.
5. Instagram share-to-save
If you connect Instagram and share posts to @flashfeed_io, we receive limited data about the shared post together with your Instagram-scoped sender ID, as described in detail in our Instagram share-to-save privacy notice. That notice explains what we do and do not receive, how to link and unlink your account, how deleting a shared message removes the saved ad, how to opt out by replying STOP, and our 90-day retention of raw webhook payloads.
6. Cookies and local storage
We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies, including browser local storage, to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure the Services, and prevent fraud. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
7. Data retention
We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, and then for a reasonable period as required to comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements. Raw Instagram webhook payloads are retained for 90 days. When you delete content or close your account, we delete or de-identify the associated personal information within a reasonable time, except for limited backup or legal-hold copies.
8. Data security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and rights
- Access, update, or correct your account information within the Services.
- Delete your content or close your account; contact us if you need help.
- Unlink Instagram at any time, or reply STOP to opt out of share-to-save.
- Manage cookies and local storage through your browser.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or object to or restrict certain processing, by emailing hello@flashfeed.io. We will respond as required by law and may need to verify your identity first.
10. Your regional rights
United States (including California)
Depending on your state, you may have rights to know what personal information we collect, to access or delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and certain targeted advertising. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may exercise your rights by contacting privacy@flashfeed.io, and we will not discriminate against you for doing so.
European Economic Area and United Kingdom
If you are in the EEA or UK, we process your personal data to perform our contract with you, to pursue our legitimate interests (such as securing and improving the Services and preventing fraud), to comply with legal obligations, and with your consent where required. You have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, and port your data, and to object to certain processing. You may lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. Where we transfer data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards.
11. International transfers
We and our providers may process and store information in countries other than yours, including the United States, which may have different data-protection laws than your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
12. Children
The Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact privacy@flashfeed.io and we will delete it.
13. Third-party links and services
The Services may link to or integrate third-party sites and services that we do not control. Their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy with a new effective date and, for material changes, take additional steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
15. Contact us
